Donna Bennett said she used to wholesale her decorated dogtags. She is now retired, but continues to make the unique decorator pieces and only offers them at craft fairs, or through her website (www.designsbydonnab.com). Check out her website and her saga of her battle against breast cancer and the evolution of the decorated dogtags.
Donna was one of the vendors at the craft fair coordinated by Debbie Yanagihara (she’s got one coming up at the Church of the Pacific in Princeville, next).
Kudos to Patti Ornellas, Sierra Mayer (what a pleasure to see Coach Todd Mayer at the Relay!), and all (there were a lot of them) the coordinators on a great Northshore Relay for Life Saturday (mahalo to Bernie Sakoda and her team of “advocates” on all the goodies, including that ono banana bread) at the Kauai Christian Academy campus in Kilauea (if it’s Kilauea, gotta run into Bill Troutman when Gary Pacheco is not there).
Mel Rapozo always does a great job MC-ing the event, and now that John Gillespie is “retired,” you gotta go visit the Relay to find him surrounded by Chemo Queens. Pauline Ibia (she made a mistake on the date) had her usual great spread of food, including Chicken Papaya.
