KAPAA — The Coconut Festival’s Tamba Fun Run on Oct. 1 will support Kapaa High School track and field.
Events start at 8 a.m. and will include the Mini Marathoner, 2-mile run for all ages; Keiki Fun Run, 1-mile run for ages 5-12; and Walk-Wheel-Run, 1-mile walk for all ages.
The entry fees are $5 for 2-17; $10 per adult and $5 per adult accompanying a child.
For the safety of all participants, skateboards, scooters and skates of any kind are prohibited for this event. Prizes will be awarded for first-place males and females in age brackets 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and the Mini Marathon under age 18. Tamba Fun Run hats will be presented to the first 150 youth on race day. All youth participants will have free entry to the Coconut Festival that day.
Early registration can be done until Sept. 30, and can be mailed to Kara Kitamura at Kapaa High School.
