The stars were out and about this weekend, starting with Dickie Chang coming to the DLNR DOFAW Arbor Day Sale (Aunty Janet Kahalekomo went to the Kukui Grove free giveaway after waiting for everyone at the ‘Welcome to Hanapepe’ mural blessing that had been canceled due to the crime spree).
Ron Wiley was doing the “Let’s Do Brunch” event with Laura, and Jody Kjeldsen had to do a quick change before the crowd arrived. Melissa McFerrin-Warrack and Helaine Perel were still stuck in the Sip and Shop (Laine Griffith and Hank Curtis were a great pair, attracting an audience even while setting up), Saturday night.
Kasi Kinney of Crazy Shirts (they’re re-opening the Coconut Marketplace store this week!) was juggling between coordinating with Clayton Sirang of the Kukuiula Store (have you seen their commemorative Pearl Harbor shirt?) and Dave Curry, brewmaster for Kauai Island Brewery, and Kyson Gushikuma (haven’t seen him since the Prince Kuhio ceremonies).
Christine Camara of The Great Harvest Bread Company said they will have a red, white and blueberry bread just for Friday. A dollar from each loaf sold will go toward the Disabled American Veterans.
