Arnold had his Fah Inn snack wagon at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School craft fair benefiting the CKMS Media Class. Arnold’s snacks helped the Garden Island Junior Dragsters. Joy Kouchi was checking on the flying saucers (apple, azuki beans or the traditional hamburger), and Lori Almarza was doing her duty before heading to the Kauai Harley Davidson for the Kauai United Way benefit.
Kevin Matsunaga said the next craft fair is Dec. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Dec. 11 is the CKMS Media Class breakfast (really good food) from 6:30 to 11 a.m.
The fresh corn benefiting the Waimea High School Project Grad was so good, it sold out before getting to the Kauai Community Market, Laurie Ho said. But the Menehune are not daunted and will try to get more for Saturday’s market.
Saturday is Small Business Saturday and Aletha Thomas arranged to have the first 100 shoppers get free Small Business Saturday reusable shopping bags at the weekly market that is a partnership with the Kauai County Farm Bureau.
