LIHUE — The public is advised that county operations will be affected by Christmas falling on a Sunday this year.
The county’s holiday closures are scheduled as follows:
- County offices — closed on Dec. 26.
- All refuse transfer stations and the Kekaha Landfill — closed on Dec. 25
- Puhi Metals Recycling Center — closed on Dec. 25-26
- Wailua Golf Course — closed Dec. 25-26
- Kapaa swimming pool — closed on Dec. 25-27
- Waimea swimming pool — closed on Dec. 25-26
- All neighborhood centers — closed on Dec. 25-26
Residential refuse pick-up will not be affected by the holiday. The regular schedule will be followed.
The Kauai Bus will maintain its regular weekend schedule on Dec. 24-25.
On Dec. 26, the Kauai Bus will be operating on a modified schedule.
