Kind act much appreciated
I made a deposit to my Princeville branch Bank of Hawaii, I didn’t realize that I dropped my debit card by the ATM machine. When I got home, I noticed that I didn’t have my card, so of course I panicked. It was Christmas Eve and the bank would be closed until Tuesday, so I called the main branch of BOH and told them about my lost card. They would issue me a new one.
On Tuesday morning BoH Princeville called to tell me that someone had slid my card under the door after finding it by the ATM. So it was in safe hands! I would like to thank the honest, caring person who did this kind act. It just goes to show you that there are so many good people here on Kauai.

Access to station needs improving
This is to express my concern about the dangerous access to the Shell station on Kuhio Highway in Wailua at Haleilio Street.
I have seen many “near misses” as vehicles illegally enter and exit this business. A fatality would not be a surprise.
1. There needs to be a “no left turn” sign at the signal on the southbound side of Kuhio Highway at Haleilio so vehicles do not try to enter the station from this direction.
2. There needs to be a “right turn only” sign for all vehicles exiting the station so no one tries to cross the northbound lane of Kuhio Highway to head south.
Please address this to avoid a catastrophe.
