As a resident of Westside Kauai, for 40-plus years, raising four children born and raised on the Westside, who are now raising their children, it was the TGI commentary by Allan Parachini on Nov. 20, 2016, that left me feeling very angry.
It was so very hurtful and I felt bad for two of our council members who actually listened to our concerns and did something for the people, instead of following the good ‘ole boys routines of status quo, self-serving governing … the same governing that has us all in a pickle now … depressed and dehumanized.
Mahalo nui loa Felicia Cowden, for the strength and the clarity to put to pen what many may have felt upon reading the article. You certainly stated what I feel. And yes, ignorant, shameful, and a disservice is the least of Mr. Parachini’s flauntings.
