LIHUE — Santa Claus was a busy man Friday, juggling activities that led to the lighting up of Lihue town.
The Kauai Museum hosted its annual Christmas Craft Fair, which included crafters who came from Oahu. A variety of food satisfied appetites from the vendors, including first-timers Ko bakery and The Juice Company.
After helping to throw the switch at the Festival of Lights display at the Historic County Building, Santa climbed aboard a Kawasaki ATV where he could see who he was waving to in the Lights on Rice holiday parade.
Then, it was off to the Kukui Grove Center for the unveiling of the Holiday Lights Spectacular, where Starbucks Coffee offered free cups of cocoa, joining Santa who had a lot of candy canes remaining after the Lights on Rice holiday parade.
