KALAHEO – No one was injured after a fire broke out in a metal container Wednesday on Naau Road.
Multiple units were dispatched to the scene at approximately 4:30 p.m. to find an outside shed and metal container fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from the Kalaheo fire station were first on scene and were soon assisted by Hanapepe and Lihue firefighters, and the on-duty Battalion Chief.
The scene was cleared shortly after 6:30 p.m.
Fire inspectors estimate the damage to the structure and its contents to be roughly $50,000.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
