This year is guaranteed to bring with it a lot of new things, and with many of us, that includes potentially new mindsets for our lives, overcoming obstacles be they internal or external.
We recently got in this bestselling book, “Life’s Golden Ticket: A Story About Second Chances,” by Brendon Burchard, which exemplifies the very essence of what most of our intentions are when we make a New Year’s resolution: that there is an opportunity before us to change ourselves, or our circumstances, for the better, no matter what is happening or has happened in our lives.
Bonus! Somehow this being a novel actually makes it so much more attainable than the usual how-to-make-yourself-better book!
Of the countless fiction books out there, this one has received well-over a thousand 5-out-of-5 star reviews by readers, which is impressive considering even the most popular fiction/thriller/mystery authors out there are lucky to break 4-stars.
The story follows a man who is weighted down by the events of his past and cannot see the possibilities before him. He is given a “golden ticket” to visit an abandoned amusement park, which somehow seems to come to life once he enters the grounds. His experiences there with the employees causes him to answer difficult questions, overcome obstacles, listen to lessons from those wiser than he, and take a hard look at himself and his life.
For those who enjoyed Mitch Albom’s books, Richard Paul Evans’ works, or even Dahl’s “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory,” you will find this novel as equally inspirational for you or for someone in your life who is needing that little bit of a new perspective.
All we have is today, so let’s make the most of it!
