Elaine Yasutake Morita
Elaine Yasutake Morita, 71, passed away on Jan. 24, peacefully at her home. She was born on Sept. 13, 1945 in Hilo, Hawaii. She was a retired physical therapy aide at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father Atsushi Yasutake, mother Misao Yasutake and brother Kenneth Yasutake.
She is survived by her husband Roy Morita of Wailua Houselots, daughter Cheryl Morita of Wailua Houselots, son Ken (Aaron) Morita of Honolulu, brothers Donald (Annette) Yasutake of Waipio and Leslie (Carol) Yasutake of Wailua Homesteads, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her loving and faithful companions, Mele and Brownie.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation with the family is at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and welcome lei.

Marcial Balbin Gray
Marcial Balbin Gray of Hanamaulu passed away at home on Jan. 18 at the age of 78. He was born in Candon, Ilocos Sur Philippines on June 27, 1938, and was a mill operator for Lihue Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his parents Melecio and Antera Gray, brother Ernesto Gray Sr. and sister Hilda Lagmay.
He is survived by his wife Francisca Gray of Hanamaulu, daughter Justina (Sam) Bombay of Las Vegas, sons George Gray, Reynald Gray of Hilo and Alfred Gray, grandchildren Geordan Gray, Justin Bombay and Aaryn Gray, brother Jose (Virginia) Gray, sister-in-law Loreta “Gloria” Gray, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Gray family with arrangements.
Alyson Ululani Silva Lipston
Alyson Ululani Silva Lipston passed away on Aug. 1, 2016 at the age of 49 at Contra Costa Medical Center in California.
She was born on June 1, 1967 in Lihue and was a retirement counselor at the Carlton in Concord, Calif.
She is survived by her husband James Lipston of Concord, Calif., father Nelson (Marina) Silva of Hanamaulu, mother Mary-Alice (Rupert) Rowe of Kapaa, sisters Alicia (Fred) Dresser of Washington, Alexa (Matt) Kure of Washington, Niki Lyn Silva of Honokaa, nephew Kelsyn (Kat) Alejo, nieces Randi Kure, Chrysandra (Tim) Darby, Tauren Kure, Jade Mach and Farrah Alejo, all of Washington, best friend and caregiver Tracy Datuin of Concord and numerous uncles, aunties and cousins in Hawaii.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Kapaa Assembly of God Church on Saturday, Feb. 25. Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. with services to follow.
Philip ‘Ipe’ Sahagon Labrador
Philip “Ipe” Sahagon Labrador of Kapa‘a passed away on Feb. 10 at the age of 72. Born on July 10, 1944 in the Philippines, he was an automotive body repairman and mechanic for Grove Farm.
He was preceded in death by Leandra Bartolome, Carmen Vicinte and Ines Labrador Lazaro, and his parents Teresa (Sahagon) Labrador and Ciriaco Labrador.
He is survived by daughters Aileen (Travis) Talbo of Lawai, and Jayleen (Aaron) Labrador of Kekaha, grandson Jaymar Labrador-Caban, brothers, Christian (Rosabila) Labrador of Puhi and Jose (Carlita) Labrador of Lihue, sisters Cenona (Elico) Acob of Kapa‘a and Fabiana (Emilio) Guerrero of California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 4 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Felisa Anne Samio
Felisa Anne Samio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the age of 86. Born on May 2, 1930 in Lihue, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by parents Agapito Semana and Anacleta Trebajo, husband Henry Samio, son Shane Samio, and brothers Nick and Suelo Semana.
She is survived by sister Lucia Ceballos of Kalaheo, sister-in-law Rosita Semana of Koloa, sons Wayne (Alexa) Samio of Waimea, Tracy Samio of Maui, daughters Raelene Malama of Waimea and Cesili (Manolo) Delos Reyes of Kaumakani, daughter-in-law Darlene “Susie” Samio of Oregon, hanai daughter Celina (Rollan) Yadao, grandchildren Kaleo (Mariko) Caires of Lawai, Toni Samio of Hilo, Tyron (Tasha) Samio of Kekaha, Tessa (Jeffery) Samio of Waimea, Melissa Samio of Delaware, Shawna (Josh) Marrow of Idaho, Diandra (Bronson) Malama of Waimea, Shane Samio of Oregon, Taylor (Nado) Delos Reyes of Kaumakani, Shadd Samio of Oregon, Henry Delos Reyes of Kaumakani and Mavrick Yadao of Kilauea.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren Braden Caires, Kylen Caires, Haven Silva, Sierra Koerte, Hacen Silva, Dayten Kamanuwai-Samio, Keira Morrow, Kilinoe Silva, Teague Caires, Manx Kamanuwai-Samio, Junae Morrow, Tayden Delos Reyes, Ho‘ola‘i Caires and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 4 at Waimea Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church in Waimea. Visitation with the family will be at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery.
