Kauai Gymnastics Academy gymnasts competing in Level 6 and Level 8 took first place honors in team competition at the Mega Meet hosted by the Fallbrook Gymnastic Club which wrapped up Sunday night in Las Vegas.
According to Jack Leonard, coach and co-owner of Kauai Gymnastics Academy in Puhi, the Level 6 team finished first in the Team Championship, and the Level 8 squad ended first in the Level 9 Team Championship.
For Level 6 All Around, Savannah Hubbard finished first with Olivia Dilley getting second place, Madison Welsh in third, Haley Zina getting fourth, and Maddison Hubbard finishing fifth.
The Level 6 girls saw Savannah Hubbard set the standard in Vault after capturing first place followed by Welsh in second and Dilley in third.
Zina topped the Bars competition with first place followed by Dilley in second, Welsh tying for third, and Maddison Hubbard finishing fourth.
Dilley rose to the top of the Beam competition with a first place finish followed by Welsh in second, Zina in third, Savannah Hubbard finishing fourth and Maddison Hubbard in fifth place.
Dilley also finished tops in the Floor exercise followed by Savannah Hubbard in second, Welsh in third, Zina in fourth, and Maddison Hubbard getting fifth place.
During the Level 8 for the 10 through 14 age group, Ashlynn Questin captured first place honors in the Vault and Floor exercises. She finished the competition in first place for All Around.
Ashley Ricciardi, ending in second for All Around, captured top honors in the Bars and Beams while finishing second in Vault and Floor exercises.
Lani Johnson, a Kauai Gymnastics instructor and veteran since the facility opened, won all events and All Around for the Level 8 15 to 18 age group, coach Jack said.
Angela-Rhey Ventura finished fourth in All Around after placing third in Vault and Floor exercises, and fourth in Beam, and fifth in Bars.
Mia Ricciardi ended in third for All Around after getting second in Bars and Floor exercises, third in Vault, and fourth in Beam.
