HANALEI — Gary Hooser, former Kauai County councilman, is joining Kauai Community Radio.
On every second Monday of the month, Hooser will host his show, “Policy and Politics.”
“A huge part of the work that I do in the area of policy and politics is communicating the message, so writing — blogging and writing opinion pieces— and radio are two natural venues for getting the messages out to the community,” Hooser said.
He joins the Mixed Plate Mondays, which airs from 5 p.m. to 6 weekly.
During his time on the air, Hooser will be discussing topics that affect all levels of government.
“There will be a wide range of national, international, state and local county topics,” Hooser said. “Nothing is off the table. I have my opinions and positions and will not hesitate to share them but I also want to hear and discuss the opinions of others.”
As part of the program, Hooser will take calls from listeners as well as have discussion with people in the studio.
