Congratulations to Jenni Scotti and Jeremy Campbell on the one-year anniversary of Creative Ohana in Kalaheo! Silvina Rubinstein, one of the 30 artists on display at the gallery, was having a busy Saturday starting out at the Sweet and Sweet Things fundraiser for the Lihue United Church (Janie Crane said a 100-year-old building is expensive to maintain) before picking up an anniversary cake for the Creative Ohana anniversary open house.
The Rev. Phyllis Meighen started out amazing and turned magnificent when all those shoppers congregated in the Parish Hall. Janie said they originally were going to have the event outdoors, but the weather soured so they were lucky the Parish Hall was open (Annette Hashimoto said she used the tents to help unload all her fashions).
Priscilla Simao was happy to get the last “beautiful” Valentine’s Day floral bouquet, and Ann and Rich Oke of Michigan were enjoying the healthy serving of just one curry plate lunch.
Alena Cantere, a Lularae distributor from Honolulu, came over to help her Kauai girls. She said being a Lularae distributor is like “Christmas every time an order comes in,” and the amazing thing is that everything sells — you just need to get it out to where people can see it.
