Isabelo ‘Belong’ Domingo
Isabelo Domingo of Hanamaulu passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on Jan. 17 at Wilcox Medical Center. Born on June 5, 1920, in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he retired from the Lihue Plantation where he worked for 37 years as an irrigation laborer.
He was preceded in death by his father Pablo Domingo, mother Leocadia Domingo and grandson, Joshua Ral Domingo.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rositacion “Rose” Maneja Domingo; sons Roger (Reni) Domingo of Anahola, Alex Domingo of San Diego, Edgar (Michelle) Domingo of Puhi, daughter Evelyn (Seth) Proctor of Maui; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Linda Do) Domingo of Honolulu, Kourtni (Keoki) Rapozo of Kapaa, Kanani Domingo and Maiele Domingo of San Diego, Mikayla Domingo, Makenna Domingo and Torren Domingo of Puhi and Amber Proctor and Caleb Proctor of Maui; one great-grandchild, Carly Rose Domingo of Honolulu; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit the family Friday, Feb. 10 at Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. with Mass to begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Elaine Yasutake Morita
Elaine Yasutake Morita, 71, passed away on Jan. 24 peacefully at her home. She was born on Sept. 13, 1945, in Hilo, Hawaii. She was a retired physical therapy aide at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father Atsushi Yasutake, mother Misao Yasutake and brother Kenneth Yasutake.
She is survived by her husband Roy Morita of Wailua Houselots; daughter Cheryl Morita of Wailua Houselots; son Ken (Aaron) Morita of Honolulu; brothers Donald (Annette) Yasutake of Waipio and Leslie (Carol) Yasutake of Wailua Homesteads; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her loving and faithful companions, Mele and Brownie.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation with the family is at 10 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and welcome lei.

Leonard S. Morris Sr.
Leonard S. Morris Sr. of Koloa, an Army veteran and retired police sergeant, was born on Feb. 17, 1935, in Port Allen, and passed away at his residence on Feb. 1 at the age of 81.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ichiko Morris, parents Frank S. Morris and Beatrice Souza and brother Herbert Morris.
He is survived by his companion Mary Sue Matter; sons Leonard (Sharon) Morris Jr. of Hilo and Patrick (Danielle) Morris of Omao; daughters Susan M. (Stephen) Perreira Jr. of Kalaheo and Jean Morris of Hanapepe; grandchildren Rochelle (Jay) Scribner, Shannon (Collin) Royer, Dylan (Kristy) Morris, Nicole Morris, Stephen Perreira III, Patrick “PJ” Morris, La‘akea Warren and Kawena Warren; great-grandchildren Austin Scribner, Tatum Scribner, Riley Royer and Teagan Perreira; brothers Frank (Ruby) Morris of Sacramento, Calif., and Melvin (Cheryl) Morris of Lawai; and sisters Sylvia Martin of Lawai and Laverne Bessert of Wailua.
Memorial services will be held the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe on Friday, Feb. 10. Visitation with the family will be at 9 a.m. with services to follow. Military honors will begin at 11 a.m.

Margarite ‘Margie’ Coller
Margarite “Margie” Helen Coller of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Jan. 25 at the age of 64. Born on May 21, 1952, in Manila, Philippines, she was a retired material handler at Hawaiian TelCom as well as a part-time worker at Plantation Cinema, Al and Dons and Kukui Grove Cinema.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kent N. Kaui; mother Alicia Coller; and brother Louis Coller.
She is survived by father Dr. Richard W. Coller of Kapaa; son, Kevin N.D. Kaui of Kapaa; daughters Helene M.C. Kaui of Kapaa, and Lara Ann (Rory) N. Ho‘oma-nawanui of Anahola; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers James Coller of Oahu, William (Roxanne) Coller of Wailua, Mark Coller of Oakland, Calif., and Patrick (Yukimi) Coller of Kapaa; sisters Ann (Kevin) Arnold of Rochester, Minn., Katherine (Perry) Alisna of Kapaa, Susan (Dennis) Akutagawa of Kapaa, Claire (Robert Beck) Coller of Kapaa and Ruth (Mark) Forbes of Hilo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, Feb. 11 at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa from 8 to 10 a.m. Eulogy will begin at 10 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. The family invites everyone back to St. Catherine Church to the hall for a celebration of her life, luncheon and fellowship at 3 p.m. after the burial.

Walter William Larsen Jr.
Walter William Larsen Jr., 77, of Lihue, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his ohana, on Monday, Jan. 2. He was born on Feb. 6, 1939, in Honolulu.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kaleinani “Nani” Larsen, and sons Eric L. Larsen of Lihue and Greg Kekoa (Coleen) Larsen of Mililani, Oahu; three grandsons, Nainoa, Makana and Kainalu Larsen of Mililani, Oahu; brother Ronald (Mary Pat) of Makakilo, Oahu; sister Momi (Emil) Wolfgram of Kaneohe, Oahu; brother-in-law Herb (Marie) Espinda of Minnesota; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He worked for the Social Security Administration for 41 years. He moved to Kauai in 1986 to manage the Kauai office in Lihue, and he retired in 2004.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1957. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1961.
He developed an interest in sports that he enjoyed over his lifetime. It began as a member of the Roosevelt High School track and football teams. He went on to play football at the University of Hawaii under Coach Hank Vasconcellos. During his lifetime he enjoyed participating in rugby, biking, swimming, aikido, jujitsu and canoe paddling. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed working out at the original Kauai Athletic Club at Kukui Grove.
He also enjoyed being a civic participant in his community. He was an active supporter and volunteer for the American Lung Association. His interest in biking led him to participate in fundraising rides for the association. He was a frequent donor to the Blood Bank of Hawaii. He served as president of Kauai Seniors Centers, Inc. and was instrumental in providing support for activities and resources to assist Kauai’s senior programs.
He will be remembered for his calm and caring leadership and his loyalty and love for his ohana and friends. We shall miss his presence but we know he is at peace with the Lord. Mahalo Ke Akua.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Lihue United Church, 4340 Nawiliwili Road. Visitation begins at 9 a.m, and services to start at 10 a.m. Private inurnment will follow.
