Hiroshi Sugibayashi of Lihue passed away at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on Feb. 14, 2017, at the age of 106. He was born on July 17, 1910, and retired from Grove Farm Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Kimiko O. Sugibayashi; brothers, Kichiji Sujibayashi, Yoshizo Sugibayashi; sisters, Kazue Horikawa, Kimie Oliva, and Mine Tamura.
Survived by brother, Isao (Hazel) Sugibayashi; daughter, Jean Okumura; son, Roy (Laraine) Sugibayashi; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Private services. The family request no koden.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Sugibayashi family with arrangements.
Janese Agot Singh
Janese Agot Singh of Hanamaulu died on Nov. 19, 2016, at the age of 40. She was born in the Philippines on May 31, 1976.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mario Econ Agot Sr.
Janese is survived by her mother, Consorcia Humao-as Agot, daughter, Sarah Agot Singh; sons, Gospel John Agot and Juanito Agot Singh Jr., brother, Mario Agot Jr.; sisters, Mercy Agot Concepcion, Arlene Agot, Rowena Agot Labrador, Maricel Agot Dando, Cherryl Agot Pancho; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
A celebration of her life will be held this Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at King’s Chapel, Eleele Shopping Center by Ace Hardware. Visitation starts at 2 p.m. with services to follow.
