LIHUE — The Kauai Historical Society and Lihue Public Library will co-host a slide presentation of color drawings by Tambi Larsen, an award-winning art director.
In the mid-1950s, Larsen and wife Barbara spent months on Kauai. He took photos of historic buildings including schools, stores, churches, sugar mills and houses, then wove elements of particular locales into color pencil drawings capturing history and natural beauty.
The original drawings were exhibited in the late 1980s and early ‘90s, and are in galleries and homes. The collection is called “One Hundred Entertainments.”
The free presentation is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lihue Public Library.
