Bernard Leandro Simao of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on March 18, 2017, at the age of 80. Born on Dec. 21, 1936, on Kauai. He was a supervisor with K.I.U.C.
He was preceded in death by: parents: Philemen and Maria Simao; brother, Manuel, Frank, David; sisters: Margaret Reis, Marianne Baptiste, Madeline Aguiar; daughter, Lisa Simao.
He is survived by: wife, Mary Jane Simao, Kalaheo; daughters: Lori (Melvin “Brodie”) Medeiros, Lihue, Lani (Tai) Fetu, Oahu; sisters: Dorothy Costa, Beatrice Silva, Bernice Pereira and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Visitation 8:30 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
