KAPAA — Swordplay, firespinning, aerial silks, and dancing are just a few of the cirque-style feats that await at the Hongwanji Mission in Kapaa Friday and Saturday night during another production of “Ma.”
The all-original production is an exploration and celebration of life through creative arts and was co-created by a diverse group of women on Kauai to honor the beauty, power, strength and grace of the feminine.
Those who have attended the production hail it as vibrant, energetic and joyful with beautiful aerial silk displays of the sun and the moon and pieces performed by mother-daughter duos.
Doors open at 6:30. The event begins at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and cost is $10 and $20, sliding scale. Keiki are free.
