Marv De Vera has been doing the Big Brothers Big Sisters event since it started, and was rarin’ to go even before Capt. Vinnie Johnson and Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. rolled out the first ball. He said his next gig will be the Visitor Industry Charity Walk Bowling Fundraiser coming up on April 15 (isn’t that Tax Day?).
Christina Gabriel (she was at the Kauai Community Market) said signups are being taken for the fun event that raises money toward the Visitor Industry Charity Walk coming up May 13 at the Historic County Building.
Kudos to Jeanette Huttger and the Salon J ‘ohana on another great Princess Day!
OK, time to get ready for the Kauai Interscholastic Federation softball opener when Coach Francis Takasaki hosts Kauai High School at the Kapaa softball facility (is Uncle John Kaneholani cooking up something special?). Hopefully, the rain holds off because we have a night game at Vidinha Stadium between Kapaa and Kauai high schools starting at 6 p.m.
