Dennis Pablo Tadije
Dennis Pablo Tadije, 44, of Koloa, passed away on Feb. 12 at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on Aug. 9, 1972 in the Philippines, he was a retired from the U.S. Navy and was a maintenance man at Lawai Beach Resort.
He is suvived by his wife Eden Macadangdang Tadije, daughters Natalie Tadije and Naiome Tadije, parents Albino and Soledad Negrillo, sisters Marlyn (Juan) Ampoloquio, Leilani (Dominick) Lopez and Mabel (Jeff) Alejandro and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends,
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 18 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Koloa from 8 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary.
Russell Takeo Ijima
Russell Takeo Ijima of Eleele and Hilo, Hawaii, passed on Jan. 17, 2017 in Hilo, at the age of 53. Born on July 31, 1963 in Waimea, he was a bio-lab technician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agriculture Research Service in Hilo.
He was preceded in death by his father Takeo Ijima, mother Lillian Ijima, and brother Gordon Ijima.
He is survived by his wife Iris Ijima of Eleele, son Brandon Ijima of Eleele and Reno, Nev., daughter Robyn Ijima of Eleele and Washington, sister Laurie (Mark) Furumasu of Washington, sister-in-law Lorry (Scott Sato) Ijima-Sato of Kaneohe, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 19 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. with a celebration of life at 2 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Waileia Mabel Gonsalves
Waileia Mabel Gonsalves of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Feb. 25 at the age of 20. She was born in Lihue on April 6, 1996 and worked at Whiskers Resort.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Haevin, great-grandparents Joseph and Katherine Rego and Rafael and Mabel Gonsalves and uncles Damien and Clifford Gonsalves.
She is survived by her mother Teresa Gonsalves, twin sister Waihea, sister Toby, brothers, Keawe, Issac and Blade, niece Peyton, maternal grandparents Raphael and Veronica Gonsalves, her faithful, furry best friend Toti, and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 17 at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall, with viewing from 10 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Friends may visit with the family until 2 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Gonsalves family with arrangements.
Alfred Aki Sr.
Alfred Kalei Aki Sr., 72, died on Feb. 28 at his home in Anahola with his family by his side.
He retired as a truck driver for Kauai Commercial after 33 years, and was owner and operator of A&H Tables.
He is survived by his loving wife Helen C. Wunschel Aki, sons Alfred (Jaselyn) Aki Sr. of Lihue and Robert Aki of Anahola, and daughter Mary Ann (Wayne) Knight of Lawai.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Miller and Mary Ann Aki, brother Fred Aki Sr., and nephew Fred Aki Jr.
He is also survived by his sister Marian (Robert) Delapenia, sister-in-law Wanda Aki, brothers William (Hazel) Aki, Richard (Priscilla) Aki, Melvin (Sandra) Aki and George (Joyce) Aki, brothers-in-law Andrew Wunschel Jr. and Timothy (Kathy) Wunschel, sisters-in-law Lola Rodriguez, Sandra and Sammie Wunschel, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 9 to 10 a.m., with Mass to follow. A celebration of life will be held at St. Catherine Coyle Hall.
Pearl L. Camara
Pearl L. Camara of Kalaheo passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on March 1 at the age of 95. Born on Aug. 23, 1921 in Hanapepe, she was retired from Dairy Queen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Camara Sr.
She is survived by her sons Walter (Phyllis) Camara of Kalaheo, John (Phyllis) Camara of Honolulu and Manuel Camara Jr. of Lawai, daughter Audrey Akita of Kalaheo, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 18 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. with services beginning at 10 a.m. Burial at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe will follow later in the afternoon.
The family suggests casual attire.
