Beth Haddock (whose table was last?) had details of the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort Pancake Breakfast Buffet which is a fundraiser for the Charity Walk (Shannon Maxwell and Samira Siale said enterprise is walking!). This year, Chef Rodman Machado (great job with the dinner at the Kauai Chamber of Commerce first quarter meeting) has added bacon to the pancakes and eggs, and for the dine-in diners on April 22 from 7 to 10 a.m., there is a bunch of “funraising” events including a silent auction, games and family fun. And yes, there is a drive-through for take out meals, too.
Kudos to Mark Perriello (he’s getting excited about this year’s HI on the Hill), Carol Manera Texeira and Anna Baudouin on coordinating another great event (mahalo to Dirk Soma and the newly formed Business and Young Entrepreneurs Club at Kauai Community College for helping with the registration). Kudos, too, to Grant James (Irving Soto said he’s got two first names) and the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort ohana on a great evening …the media was out in force as Ron Wiley (where did he park his Fit?), Ron Wood (Kelvin Moniz told him the Kauai Independent Food Bank is in the midst of its spring food drive), Dickie Chang and even Bill Buley worked the crowd.
