Juaquin ‘Jack’ Amorin
Juaquin “Jack” Amorin of Lawai, passed away on March 18 at the age of 89.
Born on May 15, 1927 in Hanamaulu, he was a heavy equipment operator for E.F. Nielsen.
He was preceded in death by parents Manuel and Emelia Amorin and son Richard Amorin.
He is survived by wife Monica Amorin, daughter Claudia (Charles) Boggs Sr. and two grandchildren.
A private celebration of life is planned.

Arthur Hugentugler
Arthur Hugentugler of Kapaa passed away on Feb. 24 at the age of 70.
Born on July 2, 1946 on Oahu, he was a master builder.
He was preceded in death by parents Robert and Agnes Hugentugler and brother Raymond Hugentugler.
He is survived by daughters Linda Thompson of Alaska, Kim Tripp and Misty (Kapono) Kimi of Oahu, sons Shane (Malia) Hugentugler and Shannon (Cindy) Hugentugler of Oahu, sisters Paula (Dan) Perry and Carol (Gary) McAuliffe of Oahu, and Laurie Hugentugler of Kauai, brothers Steve Hugentugler of Oahu and Samuel Hugentugler of California, 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held.

Harold Thomas Bettencourt
Harold Thomas Bettencourt of Fresno, Calif., passed away on March 17, at the age of 91.
Born in Kapaa on July 25, 1925, he worked for U.S. Army civil service in Japan, and was a U.S. Army WWII veteran.
He was preceded in death by parents Manuel and Helena Bettencourt, brothers George, Albert and Manny Bettencourt, and sisters Elsie Victorino, Lorrane Lizama and Eleanor Bettencourt.
He is survived by wife Betty Bettencourt, and sons Stephen Bettencourt and Gregory Bettencourt, all of California.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 31, at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa. Visitation is at 10 a.m. with Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Saint Catherine Cemetery.
