Kudos to Fred Cowell (he even got to do a drone group photo!), Darla Domingo (it was her birthday last week — how about doing the Darla Domingo Dash?), Michelle Emura, Mark Perriello, and all the people at the Kauai Coffee Company and the Kauai Chamber of Commerce for taking time out to acknowledge and honor the visiting Hawaii Military Affairs Council and the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Mana!
Ann Hashisaka of Kauai Kookie did a fabulous cake that went well with all the grilled food prepared by Chef John Ferguson of Kalaheo Coffee (with the Koloa Rum Company selections to wash it down).
Capt. Vinny Johnson said he’s lucky to have Thomas Nizo aboard because PMRF is the only military base to have its own imu on facility.
Kudos to Ed Kawamura (he’s a vet, too!) and his ohana on hosting another great Kawamura Farms Expo that started Friday (Lenny Rapozo was talking to Daniel Kawamura about the man cave) and saw Kauai Fire Department Chief Robert Westerman and Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. accept more than $5,000 from Maruyama, representing a portion of sales from Maruyama products at the 2016 expo.
Happy Mother’s Day, Kauai!
