The arena equalizer stopped the clocks at 37.64 average on two gos, nearly twice as fast as the team of veteran cowgirls Marti Snyder and Debbie Bail (51.58/2).
Coryssa Silva locked in a first finish in the Barrel Racing aboard Diesel to stop the clocks at 18.284 to hold off Casera Silva, aboard Taz, who challenged at 18.357.
Coryssa’s performance earned her All Around Cowgirl honors following the completion of six events at the latest installment of KAGRA rodeo. Casera finished in a tie with Alohi Blackstad for Reserve All Around Cowgirl honors.
Twister drove Coryssa to a second finish in Pole Bending over the fourth finish of Casera, and despite Casea claiming a fourth finish in Goat Tying, Coryssa came back with a fifth finish in Steer Undecorating in the tight competition for top cowgirl honors.
Alohi Blackstad was in the chase, using two horses to claim first place honors in the first D of Pole Bending before driving Ha‘aheo to the top of the second D in the same event. She also claimed a fifth finish in Breakaway Roping before teaming with Casera Silva in Dally Team Roping for a fourth finish.
The next KAGRA rodeo will be held June 25 starting with the Grand Entry at 10 a.m. at the CJM Country Stables in Poipu.
