Mel Rapozo couldn’t believe that with all the photos of himself floating on the Internet, the Hawaii State Association of Counties chose one of him not smiling. Rapozo, who ends his term of service at the end of June, received an appreciation certificate from Stacy Crivello, HSAC president, for serving in various capacities with HSAC since 2011 (as long as he was a councilman, Rapozo said).
Ike Cockett (he said he just got back from Phoenix, the night before HSAC started), JaNel Tafiti, and Chef Rafael Camarillo (Chef Alan Wong was among the HSAC guests, Chef Raf) were going crazy taking care of the elected officials and other dignitaries from around the state at Koloa Landing.
Maureen Nuccio-Hiraga (congratulations on being a Ross Dress for Less outstanding employee!) and Saeger got to meet up with Specialist Rhiana Brown of New York during the luau for Tropic Care Kauai at the Smith’s Tropical Paradise. Maureen said Specialist Brown was very creative in making Saeger a water dish (it’s not called Innovative Readiness Training for nothing) while she waited for service during a trip to Tropic Care.
OK, time to check out the Kapaa Jodo Mission bon dance…maybe Brian Atentido will be there? Or, Josie Pablo and her Mahelona Hospital residents.
