Solomon Kaai
Solomon Kaai of Kapaa passed away on June 30, 2017, at the age of 78. He was born in Anahola on Sept. 11, 1938, and retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents Solomon Kaai and Anna Wood Hussey, brothers Ernest, Kenneth and Issac Kaai and sister Anna Erlandiz.
He is survived by son Adam Kaai and daughter Nacole Kaai, brothers Nelson Kaai and Allen Kapali, sisters Mary Kekuewa, Charlotte Kaai and Charlene Molsbarger, anbd five grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Kauai Veterans Cemetery on Saturday, July 15, at 9 a.m., followed by a service with military honors at 9:30 a.m.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Kauai Cycle, 4-934 Kuhio Hwy., Kapaa, HI 96746.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Kaai family with arrangements.
Agnes C. Costa
Agnes C. Costa of Kalaheo passed away on July 5, 2017 at the age of 97.
Born on Nov. 16, 1919, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Ernest Costa, father Edward Cabral, and parents Charles and Rose Medeiros.
She is survived by son Ernest (Marlene) Costa of Oahu, Dennis Costa of Maui, daughter Frances Hruska of California and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 12, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo, with visitation at 9 a.m., rosary at 10 a.m. and Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
