KOLOA — Hearts4Kauai is providing a full day of training for life-saving skills at Koloa Neighborhood Center.
The classes are being offered through the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Community instruction will include basic first aid, CPR, AED, and choking care for infants, children and adults from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Students are encouraged to complete the Heartsaver and Basic Life Support-Healthcare Provider online coursework at their own pace. They can practice with a Hearts4Kauai AHA trained instructor and complete the in-person test in about an hour.
Skills certification tests will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
