Editor’s note: Old-timers might still remember the introduction from The Shadow radio program: “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? One-way bridge on cane haul road between Kuhio Highway and the Kapa‘a roundabout — The bridge over the stream on the one-way cane haul road between Kuhio Highway and the Kapa‘a roundabout is showing signs of considerable wear and tear. There are cracks in the two-wheel tracks and a considerable sag toward the middle. Are there any plans to deal with this before it gives way and leads to even greater congestion in Kapaa?
The Kapaa Bypass Road falls under the jurisdiction of the state Department of Transportation. As such, the state DOT would need to respond to this question.
