WAILUA — There will be three separate lane closures in order to allow for inspection work on sewer pipelines in the areas of Kuhio Highway and Haleilio Road from Aug. 21 through Aug. 23.
The lane closures in the areas of Kuhio Highway and Haleilio Road are as follows:
• The outermost northbound lane of Kuhio Highway near the Haleilio Road intersection from 10 p.m. on Aug. 22, to 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Access to Papaloa Road from Kuhio Highway will be closed. Papaloa Road can be accessed from Lanikai Street.
• The southbound right turn lane on Haleilio Road at the intersection of Kuhio Highway from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. on Aug. 23. Right turns onto Kuhio Highway will be allowed by following the traffic signals and using the left turn lane.
• The southbound lane of Papaloa Road between Kuhio Highway and Lanikai Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 21, and Aug. 22. Certain sections will be temporarily closed and a flagger will be directing traffic in order to maintain access between Kuhio Highway and Lanikai Street.
