Kudos to Kellen Kelekoma and his Waipa Foundation crew on another great Music and Mango Festival! Kellen’s daughter Olivia was being worked on by Wet Plate photographer Daniel Finchum (did you folks get to see his show at the KSA gallery?) and his crew.
Artist David Kuraoka came to get his annual stash of mango (that Mango Shot was on the money!), and Charlie Perreira had his usual spot for making fishnets. Haunani Kaui had time to check out the grounds before being pressed into action along with coach Mits Yokotake, and Tamra Martin of Green Opihi was looking for the coffee following Saturday night’s Relay For Life of North Shore.
OK, looking ahead, Mary Paterson of the Kauai North Shore Community Foundation said Savor is Friday night at the Po‘oku Meadows (how many remember the arena with the Brahma bulls?) as a fundraiser for education, and Kelvin Moniz said the Kauai Independent Food Bank’s 23rd anniversary bash is also Friday at the Kauai Veterans Center.
