The Kauai High School girls volleyball team recuperated from their Hanalani experience and were on hand at the Kauai High School food booth Sunday. Kehau Regidor said she’s excited about the season starting tonight (Kapaa travels to the Island School campus and Kauai goes to the Clem Gomes Gym — JV starts at 5 p.m. and varsity no earlier than 6:30 p.m.).
Someone asked about the stilt walkers (Disney took the spotlight this weekend as Dolly Kanekuni arranged for Moana (Daphne Sanchez), Belle (Gabby Wilson), and Elsa (Kenna Shafter) to join Ronald McDonald at the 30th anniversary celebration of the Ronald McDonald House).
Sharon and Chuck Lasker got to take in the Celebrity Chef Cookoff for Charity (congratulations to Chef Rey Montemayor — Chef Guy Higa must be really proud — on winning the event!) before spending some time at the Kumu’s Cupboard space that was provided by Hartung Bros.
