Congratulations to Renee Kawakami and the Lihue Pop Warner Association on getting the automatic external defibrillator from the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay (kudos to Monica Ozust on being one of the Rotary Clubs of Kauai’s female presidents!). Teddy Arroyo,
Congratulations to Renee Kawakami and the Lihue Pop Warner Association on getting the automatic external defibrillator from the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay (kudos to Monica Ozust on being one of the Rotary Clubs of Kauai’s female presidents!).
Teddy Arroyo, the Kauai Pop Warner Football League president (he was officiating one of the Saturday night games, and even got to see Pam Arroyo) said safety is paramount for the Pop Warner kids and the recent risk management seminar had close to a hundred of the KPWFL staff, leaders and coaches addressing a wide range of risks ranging from concussions to cyber bullying. Pop Warner started its season on Kauai Aug. 1, and will be on the field starting with the Jamboree.
Pat Griffin, Lihue Business Association president, was thrilled to find young ginger (even had the stalk on it) at the Kauai Community Market, where Bill Spitz was counting the minutes he waited to get his Midnight Bear bread (and he still was debating about the Danish with fresh Kauai fruit topping).
Joy Lambert is from Germany and was touring the market with Kenny Ishii (when is that PIHI bike ride?) and Pat Gegen got her to sing with Olivia Gegen, who was treating shoppers and vendors with her violin music.
