Moses ‘Moki’ Kahekeonapua Kaui
Moses “Moki” Kahekeonapua Kaui passed away on July 24, 2017, at Wilcox Hospital. He was born on May 30, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilhemina and David Kaui; mother, Margaret and step-father, Antone Reis & sister Jeanette Souza.
He is survived by his sisters, Charolette “Momi” McCumsey, Cherly Montoya, Gwendolyn Yancey; brothers, Antone “Tony” (Lorraine) Reis, James “Kimo” (Allyson) Reis; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Burial to be held at Kepana Valley, Kaui Family Cemetery on Aug. 19, 2017, at 9 a.m. with celebration of life to follow at Anahola Beach Park 11 a.m.
Ireneo Tabing Laguatan
Ireneo Tabing Laguatan, 74 years old of Kapaa, Kauai passed away on July 12, 2017, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1943, in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines he was a retired as a Building Maintenance at Rainbow Plaza in Kalaheo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luis Laguatan; mother, Eustaquia Tabing.
He is survived by his wife, Norwinalyn Miguel Laguatan of Kapaa; daughter, Nyreelyn Miguel Laguatan of Kapaa; brother, Elias (Mryna) Laguatan of California; sisters, Eufemia Laguatan Ortiz of Philippines, Salvacion Laguatan of Philippines; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at St. Catherine’s Church from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Kai’ea Anthony Diamond Chandler
Kai’ea Anthony Diamond Chandler, 16, of Ohioville, died June 19, 2017. He was born July 21, 2000, in Lihue Kauai, Hawaii, he was a son of Johhna Girting and Shawn Chandler. He was a senior at Western Beaver High School, class of 2018, where he was a member of the football and basketball teams.
In addition to his parents, Kai’ea leaves behind his brothers and sister, Mika and Raven Chandler, Michael and Mahala Gomola; many dear cousins; friends; his Tutu, Merrilee Chandler, and all of his Kalihiwai Ohana.
He will be missed forever.
Aug. 5, 2017, starting at 10 a.m. the Ohana will be gathering at Kalihiwai boathouse to remember Kai’ea and will be spreading his ashes there at Kalihiwai beach.
