LIHUE — Lihue United Church, behind King Auto Center, will be serving its 39th Labor Day breakfast, from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday at Lihue Parish Hall.
“It’s our little contribution to the community,” said Phyllis Meighen, interim pastor for Lihue United Church. “It’s nice to know that one of our signature events is a community contribution.”
Breakfast is by donation and will benefit the Tutu and Me Traveling Preschool program.
“The Lihue United Church is not one of their locations,” Meighen said. “But we know of their program and the good work it does in the community.”
Breakfast includes fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, and beverages.
There will be entertainment and a white elephant sale, with proceeds going toward the church parsonage’s remodeling.
Tickets are available at the door.
