The highly anticipated period movie, “The Fortress,” will be released in the U.S. on Oct. 20. This star-filled historical action is led by Lee Byung-hun (“Bittersweet Life,” “Magnificent Seven,” “Terminator Genisys” and “Red 2”). The story revolves around the Manchu Qing Dynasty invading South Korea to sever Korea’s ties to the Ming Dyanasty.
The Qing army surrounds King Injo at the Namhan Mountain Fortress and ends with King Injo surrendering.
Here is the synopses provided by CJ Entertainment: “The Fortress” is set in 1636, when the Chinese Qing Dynasty has invaded Korea with 150,000 troops. The Korean court flees the capital to take shelter in the Namhan Fortress, located in treacherous mountains outside the city. The Qing army, led by General Yong Gol Dae, quickly surrounds the fortress, leaving the king and the court stranded in a prolonged standoff. For a truce, the Qing general makes a humiliating proposal that they send the Crown Prince out as hostage. Unable to move forward or fight the enemy they are outnumbered by, the people of the fortress start dying from cold and hunger. The king now faces an impossible choice between protecting his people and standing up to those looking to destroy them.

Today, 7:45 p.m.: Keumshil witnesses Youngae and Dalho entering a theatre together. She tells Cheongja. Cheongja takes it out on Youngae. Jangsoo and Jango try to bring peace between Mipoong and Heera, only to make things worse.

Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Moo-young and Patriot team are shocked to discover that Chul-ho was a ruse to have Nam Kang-myung escape. When So-ra is on the verge of getting fired over a fabricated article, Moo-young pledges an all-out war against Nam Kang-myung. Unnerved by Moo-young’s unexpected move, Tae-won instructs Hae-dong to wrap up the case.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Moo-young and his team find the key to the lock box hidden by Nam Kang-myung. Patriot Newspaper, Splash Team and the prosecutors’ office stake their reputation to get to the truth. Tae-won hands over Seo Hae-young’s photo, and pressures Chief Im to take on a case.

Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Jung-won foregoes a good opportunity to spend more time with Hae-sung, but is sad he doesn’t realize this. Min-joon sees this, and feels sorry for them. Ho-bang finds solid evidence that will prove Hae-sung’s innocence.
