KOLOA — Kauai police have arrested the man believed to have sexually assaulted two adult females Sunday morning in Koloa, ending an islandwide search.
Jesse Korn, 26, of Koloa, was arrested about 9 p.m. Monday at the Kawailehua state and federal public housing complex on Paanau Road in Koloa.
Korn was taken into custody without incident, and is being held in the Kauai Police Department cellblock with bail set at $500,000.
Police responded to Kawailehua about 6:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a suspect, later identified as Korn, who unlawfully entered a unit and sexually assaulted an adult woman.
While police were conducting their investigation, they received another call about 8 a.m. of a separate sex assault that occurred in another unit involving a second adult female victim.
Korn was later identified in both assaults. However, he fled the scene on Sunday before police could detain him.
Kauai patrol officers and detectives, with the assistance of the county helicopter, continued their search until he was captured on Monday night.
