It’s not bon dance season, but there were flying saucers (mahalo Tracy Sakamoto and the Garden Isle Jr. Dragsters!) when Arnold Leong (he’s doing Thanksgiving for the Kauai Economic Opportunity, and popcorn and ??? for Josie Pablo and the Mahelona Hospital tree lighting) had his portable food wagon out at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School media Christmas craft fair (Kevin Matsunaga said they have one more on Dec. 16 and the CKTV breakfast on Dec. 17 from 6:30 to 11 a.m.).

Gayle Konishi (she’s going to be at the Kauai Handworks craft fair Saturday at Wilcox School (go early, the line starts way before doors open at 8:30 a.m.) said the Kauai Handworks fair is already sold out, and there will be a lot more vendors at the Dec. 16 CKTV fair.
Melissa McFerrin-Warrack is full-on into Christmas at Kukui Grove with three new “pop ups” for the holiday shopping (one by Kumu’s Cupboard is already open), and with that fashion show going, no wonder she wasn’t at the Kauai Community Market (when did the fish vendor open?) where Laurie Ho said this was Small Business Saturday (tucked between Black Friday and Cyber Monday!).
Terry Gordines is still flying on her appearance on Living 808 because she said the phones started ringing (with orders!) after being on TV, and kudos to Laurie Yoshida, Stephanie Iona and state Sen. Ron Kouchi on a great University of Hawaii mens volleyball experience!
