LIHUE — The Department of Public Works announced this week that portions of Haleko Road will continue to remain closed for repairs through the end of next week.

The contractor GP Roadway Solutions has extended the lane closures and guardrail repairs on Haleko Road. The lane closures will be in effect through Friday, March 18, weekdays from 8 a.m., to 3:30 p.m., however, all construction work is dependent on the weather.

Motorist are encouraged to continue to use alternate routes to accommodate the closures. During this time there will be no parking allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned on Haleko Road to direct traffic.
