Children and adults of all ages are asked to join the circus this weekend as Hawaii’s favorite show makes its grand return to the Garden Island.
The Super American Circus has returned to Kauai for an engaging three-day circus event, marking the final leg of its Hawaiian tour. This three-hour performance is anticipated to feature an array of dynamic spectacles, remarkable performances, and exhilarating stunts, promising an entertaining experience for all.
This year, the circus proudly presents Illya Strakhov, the Guinness World Record holder for the longest headstand on a bottle, and the exceptional acrobat featured on America’s Got Talent!
Cornell Nicholas Tuffy, Owner and Producer of Super American Circus and the son of Count Nicholas, a renowned Ringmaster, expressed his enthusiasm, along with that of his performers, for their return to Kauai.
“We love Kauai! It’s beautiful here; it’s the most fun,” said Tuffy, “Hawaii has been great; it’s been a beautiful show and, as always, great people.
“We want the community to come out and experience the show, its beauty, grace, strength, because we have a little for everyone, its a variety of amazing human talent,” he said, “And remember that every ticket sold benefits Make A Wish Hawaii so the money stays in Hawaii.
“We just made a wish come true for a man on our Oahu trip, and now he’s going to New York, so we hope everyone can make it out this weekend so they can have a crazy good time with us.”
Juggler Rolando Bells showed great excitement and explained what a profound honor it is for him to perform in Kauai.
“We can’t be any more excited than this; we are in Hawaii, we are on Kauai performing doing what we love, and we can’t ask for anything else,” said Bells.
“We want everyone to come and check us out. The circus is for everyone, not just for kids. This year, you can expect high-energy acrobatic performances, lots of screaming, lots of laughter, and lots of thrills. We hope to see all of the Kauai community this weekend so we can show them a good time.”
This year’s program features the Double Wheel of Danger, an impressive presentation by Hair Hang, and the exhilarating Trampoline Wall, among other attractions designed to engage and keep you on the edge of your seat.
Super American Circus is scheduled to raise the curtain at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center in Lihue. However, the weekend performances will begin 30 minutes earlier, at 4:30 p.m.
