LIHUE — The recreational courts at Puhi Park will close for a couple of months for resurfacing work.
The Department of Parks and Recreation has announced that both the tennis and basketball courts at Puhi Park in Lihue will be closed on Wednesday to allow Pacific Concrete Cutting & Coring, Inc., to resurface the playground.
The park is scheduled to open in May. However, all construction work is dependent on the weather. Updates on this project will be announced as it progresses.
This closure is also part of the county’s $3.1 million Playcourt Resurfacing Project, which also includes Wailua Houselots Park and the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex.
