Christine Plamp
Christine Plamp, of Lihue, passed away on Dec. 20, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born in Leisnitz, Upper Silesia, Germany, on April 29, 1936, and worked as an account clerk for All State Insurance Company.
Christine was preceded in passing by her beloved husband Wolfgang Plamp and her parents Eduard and Marie Sacher.
Private services to be held. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).

Orrin Maasaki Shishido
Orrin Maasaki Shishido passed away on Dec. 13, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in 1944 on Oahu, Orrin retired as an air conditioning journeyman. Orrin enjoyed the simpler things in life and bringing joy to others. “Papa” Orrin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Betty Shishido, son Wesley Shishido, brother Freddie Shishido and sister Amy Subia.
Orrin is survived by his wife of 27 years, Victoria Ramos Shishido, daughter Kerry (Kevin) Shishido, stepchildren Anatalio Jr. (Danielle) Ramos, Anavic (Clayton) Ramos, brother Alvin Shishido, sister Carol Ogata, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Juanita Castro Locke
May 6, 1936 — November 3, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Juanita Castro Locke on Nov. 3, 2024, at the age of 88. Juanita, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by her family.
Juanita was born on May 6, 1936, in Balangobong, Pangasinan, Philippines, to the late Esteban and Aurella Cayabyab. She spent many years as an employee of the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands. She retired in August of 2003 with ITT Industries.
In 1961, Juanita married Remegio Castro Sr, with whom she shared 18 wonderful years of love, laughter, and memories until his untimely death. Together they had six children, Mark, Steve, Janice, Aileen, Randy and Kurt, who were her greatest joy. She later married George Locke, a wonderful husband of 34 years, who offered unwavering support, love, and companionship.
Juanita had a deep love of cooking and baking, filling the kitchen with aromas of her wonderful home cooked meals and baked goods. She cherished her family and friends deeply, and her absence will be felt profoundly in our lives.
Juanita is survived by her beloved husband George Locke, her children Mark Castro (Anita), Steve Castro (Trini), Janice Pavao (David), Randy Castro, Kurt Castro, her stepchildren Remegio Castro Jr. (Sofia), Roy Castro (Andrea), her six grandchildren Tennille Pavao, Travis Pavao, Mark Castro Jr. (Stephanie), Marjerie Castro, Maurice Castro, Camila Castro, her great-grandchildren Mark Castro III, Ezra Castro, her siblings Guillermo Cayabyab, Mel Cayabyab, Nieves Cayabyab, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Teodulo Cayabyab, Eliope Cayabyab and daughter Aileen Castro.
A service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha, Kauai. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The family requests Aloha attire.
Susana Reyes Kincaid
Susana Reyes Kincaid, of Lihue, passed away on Aug. 13, 2024, in Lihue at the age of 91. She was born on Dec. 20, 1932, in Holualoa, Hawaii. She was a homemaker and a retail sales clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband Max Kincaid, mother Theresa Pajo, father Helacio Sanchez, brothers Amado, Adolfo, Amadio, Abondio and Anthony Sanchez.
She is survived by her son Max (Valerie) Kincaid of Lanai City, daughters Ramona (James Powell) Kincaid of Kapaa, Marina (Eric) Longfellow of Vermont, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, sister Irene Ahuna of Arizona, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at a later date.

Jon Hideo Nekomoto
Jon Hideo Nekomoto, of Kapaa, passed away on Jan. 2, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born on Feb. 21, 1952, on Oahu. He was a Marine Cargo Specialist with the State of Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife Tomomi Iwasaki Nekomoto of Kapaa, brothers David (Doris) Nekomoto of Lawai, Russell (Hue) Nekomoto of California, nieces Trudy (Matthew) Shim of Lawai, Lani (Chris) Garcia of California, nephews Tyler (Mina) Nekomoto of Florida, Robert (Amber) Nekomoto of California, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Private services will be held at a later date. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).

Penny Mieko Nitta
Penny Mieko Nitta, of Kalaheo, passed away on Jan. 6, 2025, at the age of 65. She was born on Dec. 23, 1959, in Lihue.
She was preceded in death by her parents Yoshio Nitta and Helen Yachiyo Otani Nitta.
She is survived by her son James Nitta of Phoenix, Arizona, brothers Marvin Nitta of Kauai, Wesley Nitta of Honolulu, Nelson Nitta of Kauai, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Feb. 1, 2025, at the West Kauai Hongwanji. Visitation with family from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by service at 10 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and kindly omits flowers.
