FLORIDA — Coached by Tiana Pegeder and assisted by Coach Dillyn Sakai, and operating under the Kauai Youth Football program, a Division 16 cheer squad brought home the championship trophy and banner from the AYC National Cheer Championships that was contested at the Osceola Park Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida, earlier this month.
FLORIDA — Coached by Tiana Pegeder and assisted by Coach Dillyn Sakai, and operating under the Kauai Youth Football program, a Division 16 cheer squad brought home the championship trophy and banner from the AYC National Cheer Championships that was contested at the Osceola Park Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida, earlier this month.
“We competed on Friday, Dec. 6, and advanced to the championships on Dec. 7,” said Coach Pegeder. “On Saturday, Dec. 7 we captured the title Division 16 Small Level 4 National Champions.”
Team members include Hiilawe Banasihan, Caitlin Plowman, Breanne Battulayan, Breannah Peralta, Kaiya Barsness, Kamryn Sakai, XharaLei Corpus, Eythen Bautista and Xyrus Lum. The students all attend Kauai High School.
