HANALEI — From the North Shore to the North Pole, the Santa mailbox is now open at Wainiha Country Market.
As Christmas quickly approaches, Santa is busy reading lists and checking them twice, and has asked Aunty Joelle Edwards, owner of the Wainiha Country Market, to help collect letters to Santa.
The ohana-owned Wainiha Country Market on the North Shore recently received a mailbox directly from the North Pole. The mailbox included a letter from Santa Claus personally asking for help this year.
Edwards explained that she and Santa have a special friendship after he walked into the market a few years ago when he was on vacation looking for yummy cookies.
All letters received will be mailed directly from the North Shore to the North Pole by Santa’s elves on Dec. 23, and will receive a letter back to the return address provided.
