Santa joins the Koloa School Keiki Ukulele Band at Santa’s Hale on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, when the Koloa School launched its annual Holiday Gift Bag fundraiser during the Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula. The fundraiser allows shoppers to select from 700 hand-painted gift bags by the Koloa School students for a minimum donation of $1 at any of the select Kukuiula shops through Dec. 24.

Vanessa and Caesar Duarte of Da Wicked Brew brought their food truck trailer (note the Spam and Waffle in the food case?) to donate coffee for the Salvation Army Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Hanapepe Corps on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024. Da Wicked Brew also confirmed their space for the Lights on Rice holiday parade on Dec. 6, the Grove Farm Holiday Craft Fair on Dec. 7, and a Waimea High School Project Grad special event on Dec. 8.

Big volunteer groups like this from the Marriott Kauai Vacation Club, Southwest Airlines and the Zonta Club of Kauai made short work of the Salvation Army Thanksgiving Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall and The Salvation Army, Hanapepe Corps.

Mahalo to the Salvation Army (both the Lihue and Hanapepe Corps) on a great Thanksgiving Luncheon where nearly a thousand Kauai people were able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal!
