Black Friday comes the day after Gobble Gobble, and Sheila Bradly of Sheila Bradley Books is already excited about opening a pop-up adjacent to Sone’s Delicatessen at the Kukui Grove Center on Black Friday. She’s also teaming up with Elysse Litvack and the Kumu’s Cupboard ohana to have a fundraiser for Kumu’s Cupboard book sale during The Shops at Kukuiula Black Friday festivities in the downstairs of Merriman’s restaurant … remember how busy it was during the 2023 Black Friday?

Brenda Biehler Turville has been putting on the final touches for this year’s Santa’s Hale that’s going to be open at the Kukui Grove Center across from Jamba Juice (any specials for Orange Dream?).
Kudos to University of Hawaii Beach Volleyball Coach Evan Silberstein (and all those other hands from Kauai Beach Volleyball and Duke’s) on hosting the three-day Kauai Invitational with the help of all the local sponsors like the Kauai Visitors Bureau, the Kekaha Agricultural Association, Somers West, and more. Evan is still looking at hitting the 100-mark for keiki interested in playing volleyball and meeting the players from the University of Hawaii, and this year’s No. 2 ranked UCLA and No. 3 ranked Cal Poly, whose players overflowed to the Anchor Cove Shopping Center in search of grinds.
The Little Pea’s Holiday Craft Fair (benefiting Kauai Hospice) comes up Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kauai Philippine Cultural Center featuring more than 35 local vendors and the Kauai Bonsai Club who will be hosting the Lucky Drawing.
Just down the street, the Kauai Handworks (remember all those teachers who used to do this at the Wilcox School cafeteria?) 44th annual Craft Fair takes place at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School cafeteria from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Happy Gobble Gobble! Stay safe!
