Nora Akie Masuda
Nora Akie Masuda passed away on Sept. 27, 2024, at Straub Medical Center at the age of 82. She was born on Kauai on Oct. 19, 1941. She retired as a secretary from the County of Kauai, Civil Defense.
She was preceded in death by parents Hatsuki and Shizue Nakata and brother-in-law Dennis Vasconcelles.
She is survived by daughter Leanne (Patrick) Rosa, son Kyle Masuda, sisters Katherine (Dennis) Vasconcelles, Gloria (Richard) Kusumoto, Karen (Gary) Miyahara, Joy Nakata-Muranaka, grandchildren Branden Orsatelli, Shaylece Masuda, Shayna, Shyann and Shalene Rosa, Kyle Jr., Kysen, Kyndall, Kia‘iamalama, Kyndrick and Kaikea Masuda, great-grandchildren Lashya Masuda, Gunner Igne, Khloe Orsatelli, Sanira Igne, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at The Church at Koloa. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. with services to follow at 10 a.m.
Kenneth K. Casil Jr.
Kenneth Kealoha Casil Jr., 52, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, passed away on Oct. 16, 2024, at The Queen’s Medical Center, West Oahu. He was born on Feb. 1, 1972, in Kealakekua, Hawaii.
He was an entertainer and worked for American Fence Co. and Allied Fence Co., which led him to eventually start his own business, Pa‘ahana Fencing.
He is predeceased by wife Rogelyn Rita Casil, father Kenneth K. Casil, grandparents Daniel and Lucy Kailiwai, Leonardo and Rebecca Casil, and in-laws Roger and Geneviva Ramos.
He is survived by daughter Kenna-Seanne K. Casil, sons Kenson K. Casil, Kenneth K. Casil III, mother MaryLou (Frank R.) Medeiros, brothers Todd (Robin) Medeiros, Scott Medeiros, Patrick Medeiros, sisters Kristy (Shane) Kahananui, Tasha Casil Yandall, Apelila Casil Yandall, Tehani Casil Kahakua, Te Mana Casil Duh, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended Ohana.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Domingo Aguinaldo
Domingo Aguinaldo, of Kaumakani, passed away on Oct. 31, 2024, at home at the age of 85. He was born on Oct. 1, 1939, on Kauai. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his father Juan Aguinaldo, mother Generosa Aguinaldo, brothers Amado Aguinaldo, Jackie Aguinaldo and Faustino Aguinaldo.
He is survived by his daughters Crystal Lee Aguinaldo (Ed Yamase) of Waimea, Angela Prigge (Brandon Frasco) of Kaumakani, grandchildren Kayla Prigge, Kailana Prigge, sisters Marina (Benny) Villatora of Puhi, Julia (Andy) Tambua of Wailua, Carol Rita of Eleele, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a celebration of life. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
