Jerry T. Morimoto
Jerry T. Morimoto, of Kekaha, passed away on Nov. 11, 2024, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. He was born on Sept. 16, 1937, in Waimea. He was a supervisor for Amfac Sugar Kauai, Kekaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kazuyoshi and Harue Nakano Morimoto, brothers Robert Morimoto, Alan Morimoto, Roy Morimoto, and sister-in-law Florence Morimoto.
He is survived by his wife Susan Morimoto, brother Glenn (Cheryl) Morimoto of Kekaha, sisters Janet (Keiji) Kukino, Leatrice R. Tanaka, sisters-in-law Sharlene Morimoto, Shirley Morimoto, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private service was held. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Herbert T. Miyazaki
Herbert T. Miyazaki, of Kauai, passed away on Oct. 23, 2024, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 79. He was born on Jan. 2, 1945, in Lihue, Kauai. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an electrical contractor.
He was preceded in death by father Yoshio Miyazaki, mother Sueno Miyazaki and sister Gladys Miyazaki.
He is survived by wife Jessie Miyazaki, sons Ryan Miyazaki (Tiffany Riopta) of Hanamaulu, Jason (Tori) Miyazaki of Kalaheo, daughters Shelly (Daryl) Gerardo of Koloa, Tammy (Adrian) Puu of Kalaheo, grandchildren Gavin Miyazaki, Darian Gerardo (Kristen Santos), Gabrielle Balisacan (Mackay Dela Cruz), Mahina Puu, Drayden Gerardo, Emily Miyazaki, great-grandchildren Teagan Perreira, Lainey Dela Cruz, brother Reynold (Glenda) Miyazaki of Lawai, sister Nora (Lawrence) Wong of Waipahu, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
