Herbert T. Miyazaki, of Kauai, passed away on Oct. 23, 2024, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 79. He was born on Jan. 2, 1945, in Lihue, Kauai. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an electrical contractor.
He was preceded in death by father Yoshio Miyazaki, mother Sueno Miyazaki and sister Gladys Miyazaki.
He is survived by wife Jessie Miyazaki, sons Ryan Miyazaki (Tiffany Riopta) of Hanamaulu, Jason (Tori) Miyazaki of Kalaheo, daughters Shelly (Daryl) Gerardo of Koloa, Tammy (Adrian) Puu of Kalaheo, grandchildren Gavin Miyazaki, Darian Gerardo, Gabrielle Balisacan (Mackay Dela Cruz), Mahina Puu, Drayden Gerardo, Emily Miyazaki, great-grandchildren Teagan Perreira, Lainey Dela Cruz, brother Reynold (Glenda) Miyazaki of Lawai, sister Nora (Lawrence) Wong of Waipahu, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia Rosalina “Saling” Gagarin Reyes, of Kapaa, passed away on Oct. 16, 2024, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 98. She was born on March 1, 1926, in Oaig Daya, Candon, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She was a laborer for Lihue Sugar Plantation and Kauai Nursery & Landscaping.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernardo Reyes Sr., son Edmundo Reyes, grandchildren Brandon and Sarai Reyes, parents Francisco and Luisa Gagarin, sisters Pacita Gagarin, Leonida Gagarin and son-in-law Aliivaa Valaau.
She is survived by her son Bernardo (Eliros) Reyes Jr. of Lihue, daughters Luisita (Alivaa) Valaau of Oahu, Clarissa (Virgilio Bautista Jr.) Reyes of Kapaa, grandchildren Chantel (Darrelle-Wood) Valaau, Chelsey (Sam) Buckley, Alisa (Norman) Vincent, Kevin (Bailey San Augustin-Nordmeier) Reyes, Justin (Yajaira) Reyes, Andrew Reyes, great-grandchildren Charrelle Valaau-Woods, Dallas Valaau-Woods, Armani Woods, Avery Reyes, Raiden Buckley, Nia Vincent, Eliana Reyes, Anthony Soto, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at the St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Parish in Kapaa. Visitation from 9 to 10:45 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Patricia Ann Hunter-Williams
Patricia Ann Hunter-Williams, of Anahola, passed away on Nov. 5, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born in Gardena, California, on March 26, 1957, and worked as a Language Arts teacher serving multiple Public Schools of Kauai.
She was preceded in passing by her parents William and Franque Hunter.
Patricia is survived by her husband Theodore “Teddy Boy” Williams Jr., children Tayton (Jackie) Williams of Anahola, Chantry (Kapena) Williams of Anahola, grandchildren Taelyn (Raiatea) Hale-Ajimine, Tayven “Kili” Williams, Taylee “Mehana” Williams and great-grandchild Tehya.
Private services were held by the family.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
