Charles Peter Moore
Charles “Pete” “Pirate Pete” Peter Moore, of Kilauea, passed away on Sept. 21, 2024. He was born on Sept. 16, 1953, in Pasadena, California, and retired as a Finish Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Moore and beloved dog Charley.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Moore, son Michael Moore, daughters Krystle, Katherine Moore, sisters Kingsley Benefield, Mara Moore-Cole and four grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be announced in the future.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Adelaida Arambulo Castro
Adelaida “Adele” Arambulo Castro, 95, passed away on Oct. 8, 2024, in Kilauea, Kauai. She was born on Feb. 1, 1929, in Manila, Philippines. She worked at Hanalei Ching Young Village Snack Shop.
Preceded in death by parents Manuel and Rufina Arambulo and husband Antonio Castro.
She is survived by daughter Florence “Flossie” (Charles) Ganuelas, one grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
